Advanced Placement (AP) testsTesting Window: TBD
Accommodations: Return signed Consent Form to Lynn Florman by February 19, 2016
Who takes this test?
Many Advanced
Placement courses are offered through Anoka-Hennepin high schools in a
variety of subject areas. Students who take AP courses have the
opportunity to register for the AP test at the end of the course through
College Board and their high school.
How is this test administered?
AP tests are administered during the school day. Each subject area test is given on a different day throughout the testing window as assigned by College Board. Tests are 2-3 hours long, but may be longer if students receive extended time on tests through College Board.
What do the scores mean?
Scores are reflected on a 5-point
scale, and students may receive credit from their college or university
for courses in which they score above a 3, although most require a
score of 4 or 5 to receive credit. Contact your student's individual college or university for more information about their scoring requirements to receive college credit.
