• Joining the Workforce
     
    Students who plan to get a full-time job once they graduate from high school will need to know what employers require.  By the end of their senior year, they should:
     
    You will be competing with many others for available jobs, and your employer will ask if you have graduated from high school.  Without a high school diploma, it is difficult to get a job.
     
    Our career center is open every Tuesday night from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Blaine High School Media Center, and Stephanie Nibbe, our career counselor, will be available to help you in your job search.
     
    Have a resume
    All students in high school should create and maintain a resume that they update with their education, employment, volunteer, and activity information.  This helps an employer get to know you as an individual and what strengths and experiences you bring to the work place.
