    TRIO Upward Bound is a college and career readiness program that has been serving students since 1964. We are based out of Anoka Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids and currently serve 7 high schools throughout the Anoka Hennepin, Spring Lake Park, and Osseo School districts.

    While COVID-19 has impacted how we will serve our students, we remain as dedicated as ever to provide our students with the education, community, and resources necessary to support them throughout their education.

     

    Here are a few things we offer:

    Upward Bound is currently using online platforms for all that we offer.

    • Career resources such as the Myers Briggs, MNCIS, and more allow students to explore and research their areas of interest.
    • College visits and tours
    • After school digital tutoring through Tutors.com
    • Activities, and engaging lessons surrounding the topics on how to choose a college, how to complete your FAFSA, and more
    • One-on-one meeting and mentorship with Advisor

     

    Who are we looking for?

    • Grades 9-12
    • Students looking for a community to be part of
    • Parents do not have a 4 year college degree
    • Utilize free or reduced lunch
    • Motivated to succeed

     

    We do not have academic requirements to join. However, a student needs to see the value of education, wherever they might be on their academic journey.
