• New 2016 NCAA Division I eligibility requirements

     
    A student should register with the Eligibility Center at the beginning of his/her junior year in high school. After completion of his/her junior year, a transcript should be sent to the Eligibility Center from the high school. Additionally, a student should have his ACT or SAT scores sent directly to the Eligibility Center (select code 9999) when taking the exam.

    NCAA initial eligibility clearinghouse 
     
    To be certified by the Clearinghouse, you must:

    1. Access information and application directly from the NCAA Clearinghouse Web site:  www.ncaaclearinghouse.net

    Download and complete the application and follow the directions for having all required materials sent to the Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse will issue a preliminary certification report when all materials have been reviewed.

     

    2. Complete the core units required for NCAA certification - Division I or Division II

    3. Evaluate your GPA and ACT or SAT scores

    Division I candidates use a sliding scale using unweighted grades from core courses and the ACT/SAT score they earned (found on the NCAA Clearinghouse Web site). Division II candidates must have a minimum of a 2.0 unweighted grade-point average in their core courses and a minimum ACT sum score of 68 or a minimum SAT score of 820 - using Verbal and Math scores.

     

    4. Graduate from high school

    The Clearinghouse will review your final transcript to make a certification decision according to NCAA standards.
