• Reading courses are both reading intervention courses meaning students are identified for the reading courses based on state and district test scores as well as student self-selection and parent/teacher recommendations.
    Students who qualify will be placed into the Reading intervention courses in addition to their grade-level English courses. How a student performs in their English class alone does not indicate whether a student may still be in need of reading support or instruction.
    The skills and strategies taught and reinforced in reading courses are intended to enhance a students' skills for high school success and beyond.
