    1. Why did you join Cross Country?

    I joined cross country because the people that were already in it were very cool and funny.

     

    2. What is your favorite part of Cross Country?

    My favorite part of cross country is competing. Especially when it is against some really great people. It is pretty fun to test how far I'm able to push myself against others.

     

    3. What is your favorite Cross Country memory?

    My favorite cross country memory is when Phillip, Ben, and I at team camp in 2017 went to the river/bog and swam. It was very fun even though our legs were so cut up.

     

    4. What are your goals for this year?

    My goals for this year are to beat the school 5k record and get all-state at the state meet.

     

    5. Why should kids join Cross Country?

    Kids should join cross country because the atmosphere you feel in the sport and with the team is absolutely unreal. 

     

    6. How has Cross Country impacted your life outside of the running part?

    Cross country has impacted my life very much so. I have made friends who I wouldn't trade the world for. They are some of the best people I have ever met.

    1. Why did you join Cross Country?

    I joined cross country after I quit soccer, due to the fact of how I began to enjoy the running components of soccer better than the actual sport of it. 

     

    2. What is your favorite part of Cross Country?

    My favorite part of cross country is the happy and welcoming environment it creates. 

     

    3. What is your favorite Cross Country memory?

    When it was raining and we went for a long run, I ran through the puddles and splashed Meghan. 

     

    4. What are your goals for this year?

    My personal goal is to break my times from this previous year and my goals for the team would be having the new runners feel welcomed. 

     

    5. Why should kids join Cross Country?

    Kids should join cross country because they will make friends who they can run with for years, even after the season. 

     

    6. How has Cross Country impacted your life outside of the running part?

    I have met so many amazing kids over the years who never fail to make me laugh at practice.

    1. Why did you join Cross Country?

    I joined Cross country because I heard that it was a fun sport from some of my friends and I really liked how it was a self paced sport based on improvement

     

    2. What is your favorite part of Cross Country?

    My favorite part of cross country is the community and the friendships that are made. The community in cross country is very accepting and very funny.

     

    3. What is your favorite Cross Country memory?

    My favorite cross country memory is at team camp when we all went swimming.

     

    4. What are your goals for this year?

    My goals for this year are to have fun and do better than last year. I would like to go sub 18:30.

     

    5. Why should kids join Cross Country?

    I think you should join cross country because it is a very accepting and fun environment. Even if you dont like running i think you should join because you will have fun with your team.

     

    6. How has Cross Country impacted your life outside of the running part?

    Cross country has impacted my life with the friends I made and being part of the running community. The friends i made in cross country are some of my best friends right now.

    Meghan Miller

    1. Why did you join Cross Country?

    I joined cross country initially because I had quit volleyball and I only heard good things about the cross country program and Coach Karel.

     

    2. What is your favorite part of Cross Country?

    My favorite part of cross country is the bonds formed with my teammates.

     

    3. What is your favorite Cross Country memory?

    My favorite cross country memory is practice in the rain and running through the mud. Greta likes to belly flop in mud puddles.

     

    4. What are your goals for this year?

    My biggest goal for this season is to make every athlete on the team feel welcomed and like part of the team, just like previous captains did for me. As for running goals, I want this to be my fastest season yet! 

     

    5. Why should kids join Cross Country?

    Everyone should join cross country because the bonds formed with our peers are like no other sport.

     

    6. How has Cross Country impacted your life outside of the running part?

    Before joining cross country I did not enjoy running. Cross country has shown me if I dedicate myself to something I can overcome obstacles and achieve goals never imaginable.

    1. Why did you join Cross Country?

    I joined Cross Country because I wanted to get conditioned for Track and I didn't really have another sport to join.

     

    2. What is your favorite part of Cross Country?

    My favorite part of Cross Country is the meets. The race atmosphere is exciting and the adrenaline during the last 200m of the race when everyone is cheering you on is amazing. Another great feeling is when you out kick that one kid who was cutting you off the whole race.

     

    3. What is your favorite Cross Country memory?

    My favorite Cross Country memory is going to NXR and racing with my friends.

     

    4. What are your goals for this year?

    My goal for this year is to go sub 17 and hopefully qualify for state.

     

    5. Why should kids join Cross Country?

    Kids should join Cross Country because the team acts like a second family. Everyone supports each other and you don't have to be good at running to join either.

     

    6. How has Cross Country impacted your life outside of the running part?

    I have met people who have become my best friends. Also Cross Country is great conditioning for Track.
