Youable update

Anoka-Hennepin Schools was informed by our student therapy provider Youable that they are unable to fulfill their contract obligations to serve students in our district for the upcoming school year. This action is not a result of a funding issue or budget cut by the District or any other action taken by Anoka-Hennepin Schools. In response to this unexpected situation, Anoka-Hennepin Schools immediately began working on alternatives and new options for these services. The District is committed to facilitating this support and is working diligently to maintain this service for families.

School-based mental health program
Anoka-Hennepin Schools partners with People Incorporated, VONA, and VEEMAH to provide on-site, year-round mental health support for district students.Supports available to students:- Crisis management for current clients.
- Diagnostic assessment.
- Individual and family therapy.
- Mental health professional development training for school staff.
- Mental health service coordination for current clients.
- Mental health consultation for parents/staff.
Any parent/guardian or school staff can make a referral for mental health support. Parents/guardians can request a referral by contacting your school social worker or administration. If experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911 or one of the resources below.
- For Anoka County Mobile Crisis (Canvas Health), call 763-755-3801. The call is free. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- For Hennepin County Mobile Crisis, call 612-596-1223. The call is free. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Text “HOME” to 741741 to be connected with a counselor who will help defuse the crisis and connect the texter to local resources. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Text “HELP” to 988 to be connected to a crisis center where trained crisis counselors or mental health professionals are waiting to help. The calls are free and confidential. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Minnesota Warmline: support for people struggling with their mental health, but aren’t experiencing a crisis or emergency. Support specialists give free, confidential, anonymous support. Call 855-WARMLINE toll-free or text "Support" to 85511 7 days a week from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
