Band Department / 6th Grade Band

Oak View has a strong tradition of excellence in the band department. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Students will learn rhythm reading, note reading and the basics of tone production. 6th grade band classes are divided in groups of like instruments, and meet every other day, all year.
