Welcome to the OVMS Orchestra Webpage
I am Dominique Pavot. Most people call me Nikki. I have been teaching for 20 years and 17 years have been at Oak View Middle school. The first three years of my teaching career were in Buffalo, MN. I have taught classroom music, orchestra and band and the majority of that teaching has been at the middle school level. I received my Bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University in 1999 and my Master's degree from St. Mary's University in 2004. I have been married to my husband for 21 years and we have two children, ages 9 and 14. I love spending time with family, playing my violin and knitting.
I love teaching because I am continuously challenged. No group of students is ever the same as the last and I love to discover what tools will help students learn. The students' "light-bulb" moments are one of my many rewards as a teacher.
