• When can I come to the library?

    • All students come to the Library Media Center every two weeks with their ELA class. Check the LMC Calendar for the ILA/Reading class schedule. 
    • The Library Media Center is open for checkout every day beginning at 8:00 a.m.

    How many items may I check out? When are my books due back?

    • Students may check out 4 books, keep and read the books for two weeks and renew a book once. Books may not be renewed if that book has been requested by another student. Magazines are limited to one at a time and once per day. 
    • Textbooks (ILA, Social Studies, Dictionaries) are available for OVERNIGHT checkout. The textbook checkout does not count against the 4 book limit.

    What if I have an overdue book?

    • You will be allowed to check out one book if you have an overdue book that is 2 weeks to 2 months overdue. If your book is overdue by more than 2 months you will need to either return the book or pay for the book.

    Can a book be put on hold?
     
    • Yes. Fill out a hold slip at the checkout desk. Make sure to include your first and last name, the title of the book, your ILA teacher and hour that you have ILA. Put your request in our "Holds" box. Requests are processed in the order that they are given. You will receive a slip in your ILA class telling you when your requested book is ready to pick up. You have up to 4 days to pick up your requested book. 
    What are the library's expectations?
     
    • When a book is checked out, the expectation is that it will be read and returned. It is the student's responsibility to get the books back so others have the opportunity to read them. Please take good care of the Library Media Center materials and return materials in the same good condition. Take care when putting books into backpacks so the books/magazines do not get damaged. Fines will be assessed for damages or lost materials.

    The Library Media Center is open from 8:00 am until 3:15 pm. Students are encouraged to visit the Library Media Center before school to check out books, return books, or renew books.
