I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. I have been teaching for 17 years. This is my 15th year teaching math at Coon Rapids Middle School. It is very exciting teaching here at CRMS because this is where I went to school when I was a middle school student. After high school I attended Bethel University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Since then I have gone back to earn a Master's in Education and have obtained a Secondary Math License. In addition to teaching in Anoka-Hennepin, I am an adjunct instructor at Bethel University. Teaching is my passion and I enjoy working with students at all levels.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married to a great man who teaches fourth grade at McKinley Elementary School in Ham Lake. We have three amazing and energetic kids at home. Lydia, my daughter, is going into seventh grade. My son, Ethan, is in fourth grade this year and my son, Noah, is starting 2nd grade. My family enjoys our summers together. We love to be outside: biking, water-skiing, tubing, camping, and exploring. We also enjoy family movie nights together. Even though I love math, I also enjoy curling up with a really good book.
