Coon Rapids Middle School

Greetings!  I am Jennifer Bessler and I teach 6th grade science at Coon Rapids Middle school.  I am starting my 17th year of teaching and have been fortunate enough to teach my favorite, middle school science, for all 17 years of teaching so far!  I started my Career in Houston, TX, from 1995-2001.  I moved to Minnesota and was hired by Anoka Hennepin to teach at Roosevelt Middle School my first year (2001-2002), and Coon Rapids Middle School since then (2001 - present).  I have taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade science and loved them all.  I am starting my sixth year of teaching 6th grade science at CRMS.  I have a passion for both science and middle school kids!

 I live in East Bethel with my husband, Ryan (Commercial Real Estate Appraiser), my son, Wesley (precocious 7 year old), and his brother Cooper (our Chocolate Labradoodle Puppy).  We enjoy playing together and tend to be movie buffs.  Wesley can already use my computer and cell phone better than I can. :) 

I graduated with a bachelors of Science in Middle School Education from John Brown University in 1995.  I graduated with a Master in Education from St. Mary's in 2008.  I've been trained in a variety of brain research, curriculum development, and best practice teaching techniques, and continue to enjoy those training opportunities.
