My name is Sarah Johnson. I began teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin School District in 1999. I have taught at Coon Rapids Middle School, in sixth grade my entire career. I have taught a variety of subjects within sixth grade, but I have been teaching ELA for the last several. My education includes attending the University of Iowa for two years, then graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Winona State University. Later I earned my Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary's University of Winona. I have also earned my K-12 Reading license from Concordia University in St. Paul.
My family includes my husband, Kevin, who is a police officer for the City of Roseville. I also have two children. My son, Adam, is entering 7th grade and my daughter, Gwen, is entering 5th grade. They both attend Westwood Middle/Intermediate School in the Spring Lake Park school district.
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family whenever I have an opportunity. In my spare time I also enjoy traveling, reading, crafting, attending the activities my kids participate in, and CrossFit!
