I have been teaching Autism students at Jackson Middle School since 2003. I truly love what I do and enjoy the students I work with. At Jackson I work with students in grades 6, 7, and 8. During my classes we have Social Communication Skills lessons. It is a thrill for me to help the students and their parents.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a Bachelor's Degree. I completed a double Major for Elementary Education and Special Education with an emphasis in music. I attended the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater graduate school and earned my Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities. I have attended Bethel College for additional teaching licenses. I currently have a teaching license in Elementary Education and a license for all areas of Special Ed.
I am happily married. My husband and I have two children that we are very proud of. Our son graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield and our daughter graduated from St. Mary's University in Winona. We have enjoyed supporting our children and following them in their many activities. Both children are strong athletes. They both played varsity sports in high school and at the college level.
