• School-based mental health services during distance learning

To meet ongoing mental health needs, expanded mental health service delivery locations have been made.

    Service delivery locations:

    • School
    • Family/guardian home
    • Mental health clinic
    • Telehealth (therapy services through a mobile device)

The district and the contracted mental health agencies have put some systems in place to assist with transportation, technology needs and mental healthcare costs. The goal is to work with parents/guardians to remove barriers to accessing treatment.

    Continuation of therapy services

All students currently receiving services can continue via one or more of the above options.

The therapist working with your child may have already reached out to you or will do so in the coming days. They will review options with you and work to determine the best service delivery location(s).

    Starting therapy services

If you feel that your child may benefit from starting mental health therapy services please see a more detailed description of services at the Anoka-Hennepin Schools' mental health webpage.

    Questions

If you have questions about continuing or starting therapy services, please use this school-based mental health therapist directory for the contact information of the therapist at each site*.
