Class schedule is as follows:
Period 1 8:00-9:00 (Prep hour)
Period 2 9:00-10:00 (Doyle)
Period 3 10:00-11:00 (Doyle)
Period 4 11:00-11:30 (advisory)
Lunch 11:30-12:00
Period 5 12:00-1:00 (Cleveland)
Period 6 1:00-2:00 (Cleveland)
1. APEX is an online venue to do coursework. You are required to be in class each day where tests and quizzes must be taken. Work can be done at home, in addition to the class work, if one chooses to do so. Remember, tests must be taken in the classroom and attendance is still required each day to be able to use APEX.
2. APEX allows students to move at their own pace. It is a great program for those who are motivated and able to earn credit faster. You must be in class for a minimum of 12 hours before credit can be given. Some students need more direct instruction and should remain in a class led by a teacher.
3. I will be here as a resource for you. I am not here to give you the answers. You should do the necessary reading before taking a quiz. If you jump right to the quiz without doing the proper study, it becomes much more difficult to move forward. If you fail a quiz 2 times, you will be required to complete the study guide before moving on.
4. It is expected that you will complete a minimum of 25% of the class every 3 weeks. This will total 100% by the end of the trimester. If you finish sooner, credit will be awarded and you can move on to another class. A grade of C, B or A will be assigned according to performance on your assignments which APEX keeps track of and will be recorded in grade book.
5. APEX is a privilege for those who can make the most of the opportunity. There is limited space so those who are performing well will have the right to be scheduled in an APEX class. With that said, a
