Student Learning Targets are dictated by thier Individual Educational Plans (IEP's). Examples of a Speech/Language students' learning targets may include the following:
Language:
I can understand and use targeted vocabulary across all subject areas.
I can make social and literary inferences when reading a passage or making observations.
I can produce sentences that demonstrate understanding of grammar when speaking or writing.
I can use social thinking skills to interact with peers and adults.
Articulation:
I can correctly produce the /r/ phoneme in conversational speech with 90% accuracy or better at school, at home, and in the community.
Fluency:
I can use fluent speech to express my thoughts and feelings, report ideas and collaborate with those around me.
Voice:
I can demonstrate healthy vocal quality in the context of my daily work and social activities during continuous voice use for at least a 15-minute monologue.
