BHS ENGLISH DEPT READING LIST 2014-15
This is the suggested reading list for students taking advanced English classes 2014-15 at BHS. While not required, students are strongly advised to read the following books over the summer in preparation of their English classes. This will give students the opportunity to digest the texts they study over the course of the year rather than rush through the reading. This is also meant to alleviate some of the work load concerns that students and parents have shared. Additional reading will be assigned during the school year!
Students will be responsible for acquiring their own copies of these books for summer reading and should feel free to annotate in their copies and save them for use in class. Students will be expected to revisit the text for further study, discussion and analysis beyond the summer reading during the school year.
