Welcome to my webpage!
Hello - This is Leah Sams. This is my 10th year at Coon Rapids High School. My first 8 years were spent in the Medical Careers class. I have taught Medical Anatomy classes, Medical Terminology, and Anoka Ramsey's Concurrent Enrollment course entitled "College Honors Introduction to Medical Devices and Industry." Coon Rapids High School is in its second year as a Biomedical Specialty School, and it has been my privilege to coordinate those efforts!
I received my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health Education (Grades 5-12) and Community Health from St. Cloud State University. I earned my Career and Technical Education Certificate (Grades 9-12) from Bemidji State University. I attended the College of St. Scholastica for a Graduate Teaching License in Elementary Education (Grades K-8) and Middle School Science (Grades 5-8). I completed my Master's Degree in Teaching from the College of St. Scholastica, also. Currently, I am enrolled in Minnesota State - Moorhead's Specialist in Educational Leadership Degree in order to attain an Education Administration License.
Outside of school, I am busy with two children - ages 7 (and a half!) and 10. I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, and spending time on the lake with my family!
I look forward to helping your child prepare for College and Career Success!!
