What is Anoka-Hennepin Online?
Anoka-Hennepin Online is a credentialed grades 9-12 learning provider through the state of Minnesota that uses the approved Anoka-Hennepin curriculum. Anoka-Hennepin Online follows district policies for student performance standards and attendance. Learning will be supported by an enhanced technology platform.
Anoka-Hennepin Online students receive support from a team of licensed education and guidance professionals. This experienced staff is committed to meeting the academic and post-secondary needs of each Anoka-Hennepin Online student.
Students can take up to 3 classes online per trimester. To take classes through Anoka-Hennepin Online, students must be enrolled in one of the main Anoka-Hennepin High Schools, (Anoka, Andover, Blaine, Champlin or Coon Rapids) and take at least 2 credit-bearing classes in person per trimester.

What type of technology do students need to provide?
A laptop or desktop computer with an Internet connection (preferably high-speed). Some type of word processing program (Microsoft’s “Word,” Apple’s “Pages,” etc.) is also suggested. What does an Anoka-Hennepin Online class look like?
Anoka-Hennepin Online uses google classroom and a service called Apex Learning to deliver class content online.

How quickly should students expect to get answers back from teachers and/or counselors?
Questions sent to teachers and/or counselors by either students or parents will be answered within 24 hours.

Can students take extra classes to get ahead?
No, overloading is currently not an option.

Will the college credits earned by students be easily transferrable?
Yes, college credits earned will transfer to many schools in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system. This includes 31 public colleges and universities with 54 campuses in 47 communities in Minnesota. Credits are also transferable out of state, depending on the receiving college.
