Enrollment
-
Do you allow high school students to enroll part time?
Yes, students can take up to 3 classes per trimester.
To take classes through Anoka-Hennepin Online, students must be enrolled in one of the main Anoka-Hennepin high schools, (Anoka, Andover, Blaine, Champlin or Coon Rapids) and take at least 2 credit-bearing classes in person per trimester.
-
Do you offer flexible or ongoing enrollment?
Yes, we allow students to enroll by trimester throughout the school year. Changing in the middle of the trimester is not permitted.
-
If we want to change our enrollment for next trimester and take more classes online or go back to the high school, what do we need to do?
The best way is to contact the school counselor. You can contact your students’ home high school counselor or contact our counselors: Ms. Melanie Hankins - melanie.hankins@ahschools.us, 763-433-4036; Ms. Alyssa Zemple - alyssa.zemple@ahschools.us, 763-433-4031.
-
We are interested in enrolling. How do we enroll?
The easiest way is to fill out the enrollment form on our website. From there, we will connect with you and your home high school counselor regarding the availability of our courses, timelines, graduation requirements, etc. For high school students from outside of Anoka-Hennepin, the following forms also need to be filled out: Statewide open enrollment form | Student Registration form.
Student Daily Experience

What can my student expect for a schedule?
- Students are scheduled into the five period school day.

Attendance Requirements
-
Is attendance required at specific times?
- All courses are asynchronous instruction. Attendance is taken by logging into the Google classroom or the Apex class. This may be done anytime during the school day, from 12 midnight to 11:55 pm. Daily attendance is required.
-
What do I do if I know my student is going to be absent?
- Please contact us at 763-433-4040 if you know your student is going to be absent.
- Parents and guardians can also report absences online through ParentVue.
-
My student is part-time, why do I have to let both schools know that my student is going to be absent?
Unfortunately, our system requires you to notify both schools about absences and treat them as two separate schools.
-
I forgot to let you know ahead of time and now I received notice my student was absent, what do I do?
No problem, just give us a call, email us, etc. and let us know.
