Support at Adams - Title I information

  • The following information is a jointly developed agreement that explains how family members and teachers will work together to make sure all of our students get the support they need to reach and exceed grade level standards. The families and staff at Adams Elementary annually discuss, review, and revise this information.  Your student’s needs, progress, and achievements will be shared at fall and winter conferences.

    Title I School Improvement Strategies

    Adams is committed to providing an atmosphere of learning for all students. This will be accomplished through:

    • Student achievement in reading (MTSS)
    • Student achievement in math (MTSS)
    • Student engagement (Catalyst)
    • Social Emotional Learning: Character Strong

     Progress on these school efforts will be reported to families at the end of each trimester through the Family Newsletter and Monthly PAC meetings..

    In the Classroom

    Adams’ staff has these goals for this year:  
    We will: 

    • Ensure all students receive high quality, first best instruction
    • Intentionally focus instruction on the MN State Standards
    • Strengthen Student - Staff relationships
    • Created learning environments were respect and safety are paramount

    At Home

    Families can help by:

    • Adams staff and families will work closely to support learning
    • Adams staff will provide timely feedback and strategies to support learning at home
    • Adams staff will respond and communicate with families in a respectful and timely manner
    • Adams staff will share resources to strengthen the home school partnership
    • Adams staff will provide opportunities for families to engage in the learning of their child
    • Families are encouraged to share input on their child’s learning

    Communication

    Our school is committed to keeping families informed. 

    • Grade level expectations and student progress will be explained at fall and winter conferences
    • Teachers can also provide information about your student’s learning habits
    • Results of MCA, NWEA MAP, and other grade appropriate assessments will be provided at conferences and made available on in the My Student Test Results app on A-H Connect
