• Welcome! My name is Kirsten Rasmussen and I am currently a Special Education teacher licensed in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD).  I currently support mainstream math, teach Essential Study Skills and Essential Math and case manage a wonderful and ever-changing group of students.  This is now my 18th year teaching; 13 years as an Art teacher and 5 as a Special Education teacher.  I truly enjoy helping students realize that they can be successful.
     
    When not in school, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 16 years, 13 year old daughter, 11 year old son, 2 dogs (St. Bernard and a mixed breed rescue pup), 2 kitties, 1 rat and 10 reptile pets.  Most of my hobbies are arts related such as glass bead making, jewelry design, drawing, ceramics, painting, etc...
