Compass Programs help meet the unique learning and behavior needs of students from across our district. The goals of the programs are to facilitate students’ academic progress, to provide support and guidance, and to increase students’ social-emotional skills to help set them up for success.

All Compass Programs engage in restorative practices. We believe in teaching community building and conflict resolution in a restorative format.

Mid-Level Program
The Middle Level Program aims to help students grades 6 through 9 develop the academic and social skills necessary to succeed in their neighborhood school. With a challenging curriculum, dynamic teachers guide students toward acquiring the tools necessary to set goals and navigate their school journey as a means toward achieving lifelong success.

Compass Online
Compass Online is a program that helps students acquire credit and move toward graduation from their neighborhood school after a disciplinary event or are in transition. Enrollment for this program is limited to Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 10-12.

Teen Parenting Program
The Teen Parenting Program (TPP) is designed to help students remain in school during and after pregnancy. The goals of the program are to:
- Support students in getting a high school diploma.
- Assist students in making and following through on a post secondary plan.
- Provide students with education and resources to help them develop parenting skills.
- Provide students with support and resources so that they can return to their neighborhood schools or other programs after pregnancy.

District Modified Learning Center
The District Modified Learning Center (DMLC) is a supervised placement for students who have experienced a disciplinary concern and need a short-term placement where they can continue to receive educational services. Students at the DMLC are placed there anywhere from one to 15 days, depending on the circumstances.

Homebound Program
The Homebound Program is provided to Anoka-Hennepin students who are unable to attend their neighborhood school for more than two consecutive weeks due to illness. This absence from school must be supported by a physician's recommendation.
Elementary and middle school students will have a teacher come to their homes for up to five hours of instruction each week. High school students will receive telephone calls from licensed teachers in each of their classes four days a week.

Anthony Louis Program
The Anthony Louis Program is the educational component for students enrolled in the Anthony Louis Center's chemical treatment program. Anoka-Hennepin teachers work with students to help them continue on their educational pathway during their time at the center. CAPE Child Care Center
The CAPE Child Care Center is the district-operated childcare center located at the Blaine Early Childhood Center. Any Anoka-Hennepin student can use the childcare center for their child, provided they meet the basic requirements of attendance.
CAPE runs two separate classrooms, one for infants, and one for toddlers and preschoolers. A full-time director and several teachers are responsible for the care and education of the children. Education is tailored to each child's needs with a specialized lesson plan to encourage growth and development.
It is a goal of the CAPE Center to provide a safe, welcoming, and educational environment for both the young children and their teen parents so the emphasis can be on building strong families.
