It's more than just free meals! Apply for educational benefits for the 2024-25 school year
(07/26/2024) All Anoka-Hennepin families are encouraged to apply for the educational benefits program for the 2024-25 school year. A new application must be submitted each school year. The enrollment window for the 2024-25 school year begins Aug. 1, 2024.

New cell phone policy for Compass students
(09/05/23) Beginning Sep. 5 2023, all students entering the building are required to turn their cell phones off and put away. Violations may result in the device being turned into the office. Students will get their cell phones back upon leaving the building for the day.

Device Protection Plan available to students assigned Chromebooks
(07/28/2022) Technology plays an important role in preparing students for life, and Chromebooks are utilized as a daily learning tool in Anoka-Hennepin middle and high school classrooms. Anoka-Hennepin students in grades 6-12 are assigned a Chromebook from the school district to ensure access to technology systems that support classroom learning.

Life-saving AED update headed to schools
(03/07/2025) When a person suffers Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), response time to provide care is critical to survival and recovery. Anoka-Hennepin Schools are equipped with Automated External Defibrillators - or AED’s - that provide a level of preparedness to respond to emergencies and save lives.

Bell time changes planned for secondary schools, special education sites in 2025-26
(03/06/2025) Bell times for the five traditional high schools and eight secondary sites will shift in the 2025-26 school year to prioritize staffing ratios and classroom support as part of a $26 million reduction and reallocation plan approved by the School Board.

(03/05/2025) Due to heavy snow, high winds and ice impacting travel during the early morning hours, Anoka-Hennepin Schools will be closed today, Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

District to host hiring event for operational and student support positions March 27 at Anoka High School
(02/26/2025) The Anoka-Hennepin School District will host an in-person hiring event for operational and student support positions Thursday, March 27 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Anoka High School. The hiring event will take place in the atrium located near the main entrance of the school.
