For well over a decade, tucked away in a little corner of a strip mall, Andover Preschool and Family Place has served families offering a variety of early learning activities and classes for parents and young children. 

It’s not the typical place you would find an early childhood center and inside is an oasis of family fun and learning. Andover Preschool and Family Place is a treasure for the community. Located in the northeast corner of Andover with easy access off both Coon Rapids Boulevard and Bunker Lake Road, this site has both a preschool classroom and an early childhood classroom for parent and child activities.

Inviting atmosphere

“The moment I began teaching and working at this location, I realized that although small, the families who come love it – they love the classrooms, the programs, and most of all, they love the teaching staff!” says the Supervisor at Andover Preschool and Family Place.

As with all of our ECFE locations, the Andover Preschool and Family Place classrooms are staffed by licensed parent educators and early childhood teachers. They are dedicated to providing positive support for families and use intentional teaching strategies to meet children’s individual needs.

After attending a class recently, a parent shared “It's a great place with great, caring, and knowledgeable teachers. We are very happy to be a part of this learning experience.”

The preschool instructor shared, “Our preschoolers love to explore the world around them. We offer a variety of fun and educational activities specifically for our youngest learners. Our preschool classes encourage learning, socialization, creativity, and discovery.” 

Unique preschool opportunity

One of the unique classes at Andover is "Parents, Kids & Preschool" which offers a fun twist on preschool for younger preschool-aged children. Offered this winter/spring session on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, preschool children attend with their parents on Mondays – for fun and learning together as well as separate times for each. On Wednesdays, the preschool-aged children come back to school for a continued opportunity to experience a preschool classroom.
