First day of school is Tues., Sept. 2: Increased law enforcement around schools as classes begin

As a response to the tragic violence that happened at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, law enforcement agencies that serve our communities are increasing patrols around schools as students and staff return to class next week. 

Although this incident did not occur in our Anoka-Hennepin school communities, events like these can cause fear and concern within our own community. While there is no known or specific threat, this proactive step is intended to support the safety and peace of mind of our community.
